BlueCarve Turbo

BlueCarve Turbo

$3,490.00 inc. GST

Please note that the current lead time of all CNCs is 2-4 weeks

Bluey’s big brother, the BlueCarve Turbo is the best priced CNC in the world in the same class and capability and that’s a fact. Now 50% stronger and 30% more torque!

Australian designed, made and owned, starting at $3490 for a 1×1 CNC with a 800x800mm cutting area, the Turbo is driven by 16mm ball screw on 15mm linear rails on all axis. Using the latest and most advanced integrated closed loop stepper motors, if its cutting aluminium or 45mm thick hardwood, this CNC will not disappoint.

  • Cutting area 1000x1000mm rail size, 800 x 800mm cutting area, 105mm height clearance
    • Portrait 1000×1500 rail size, 800 x 1300mm cutting area, 105mm height clearance
    • Landscape 1500×1000 rail size, 1300 x 800mm cutting area, 105mm height clearance
    • Half Sheet 1500×1500 rail size, 1300 x 1300mm cutting area, 105mm height clearance
  • Motion controller Arduino Uno CNC Controller, Grbl 1.1 with optimal settings loaded
  • Stepper motors advanced 1.2Nm integrated closed loop motors now 30% more torque
  • Max Rapids class leading 8,000mm/min
  • Wiring & structure LAPP robotic ethernet cable
  • 6mm steel powder coated in BlueCarve blue, now 50% stronger
  • 65mm trimmer mount as standard
  • Power supply Australian approved 24v power pack using only 40w to power the CNC
  • Proximity switches for X, dual Y & Z back to 0, 0, 0 for greater accuracy
  • Auto squaring yes!
  • Drive class leading 16mm balls screw
  • Motion HGH 15mm linear rails and blocks
  • Bits $50 worth of bits from www.endmill.com.au

The only upgrade that you cannot do/add later for the Turbo is size.

Push your machine even harder with a Turbo Z Upgrade. Incorporating larger rail blocks and ball screw the Z upgrade is ideal for those wanting to mill soft metals or just cut faster and cleaner.

Turbo comes with mounts for a Makita RTO700CX trimmer. Makita’s are great because they do not require an inverter/VFD or water tubes and run flawlessly for many 100’s hours. Although the downside of the Makita trimmer is accuracy (runout of 0.1mm+) and power limited to 710w. A spindle can achieve accuracies of 0.008mm runout and delivery of 2 to 3 times more power. Air and water cooled spindles operate the same but they do differ.
– Air cooled does not require maintenance of a cooling system, slight louder but cannot go below 7200rpm
– Water cooled can be used for drilling at 2500rpm, quiet at idle

A really cool addition is a blue diode laser. This enables you to economically convert your Bluey to a fully functional laser CNC. Included in the cost is everything that you need to start engraving (additional software purchase needed ~$84usd).
– 7.5w is a great for engraving timber and can cut thin ply ~2mm
– 10w is a great engraver and can cut 5mm ply with air assist

There are three base options.
– Bring your own (BYO) 18mm MDF or Plywood base board and 18mm MDF waste board
– Aluminium T Slot Rails + BYO Strips of MDF in between the rails
– Aluminium Bed + BYO MDF Strips on top of the bed

With either option, you will still need to install MDF to cut in to.

Full aluminium bed

Purchase additional clamps to suit your T slot bed/rails.

Reduce time and increase cutting depth accuracy, with a Z probe. Your Z probe will be installed and tested. You will need to set up the Z probe on your computer which is relatively easy.

Purchase an additional 22m surfacing bit to level your waste board. Includes a 6mm collet with total value $45

Basic dust boot to suit either 65mm or 80mm shaft

We use 4 different booking agents to determine the cheapest and best shipping option. We do not mark up shipping because we think that’s not fair. That is why we cannot provide a live shipping option. Shipping to a commercial address with a forklift is by far the cheapest option. Considering it takes about 2 hours to pack and $75 worth of material, we only charge a $50 pallet fee for all shipping option.

Once you have submitted your order for a quote, we will reply with shipping options.

Base and Waste board

You will need both a base board and waste board for your Turbo. I recommend having both so that once you have destroyed your waste board, it is easier to replace. The base board is
slipped in first and secured to your table, with the waste board screwed to that base board centered in the middle. Even though your total possible cut area is 750×750, you can get three sheets from the one full sheet

  • Base board thickness 18mm ($39 at Bunnings for a full sheet)
  • 995x900mm (x1)
  • 700x700mm (x2)

If you have opted for an upgraded size, use the following calculations for the base board:

  • X axis (Left to right) rail size in mm minus 100mm
    • Eg. 1000 – 100mm = 900
  • Y axis (Front to Back) rail size in mm minus 5mm
    • Eg. 1500 – 5mm = 1495
    • Cut dimensions = 900 x 1495

Waste board

  • X axis (Left to right) rail size in mm minus 200mm
    • Eg. 1000 – 200mm = 800
  • Y axis (Front to Back) rail size in mm minus 200mm
    • Eg. 1500 – 200mm = 1300
    • Cut dimensions = 800 x 1300

Table

It is ideal for your table to be as solid as possible to maintain a levelled surface. The more rigid your table, the more resilient it will be to warping over the seasons.

Use the following calculations as a minimum for your table:

  • X axis (Left to right) rail size in mm plus 200mm
    • Eg. 1000 + 200mm = 1200mm
  • Y axis (Front to Back) rail size in mm plus 200mm
    • Eg. 1500 + 200mm = 1700
    • Overall table dimensions = 1200 x 1700
